Prior to co-founding CFS Partners, he was a Director of Morgan Grenfell & co. Limited, with responsibility for coordinating the Andean Region and subsequently a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank with regional responsibility for Venezuela, Central American and the Caribbean.

He has an impressive record of completed transactions in Latin America, including senior positions in some of the region’s highest profile transactions such as the sale of Entel Perú to Telefónica of Spain and Entel Bolivia to Stet of Italy. His sector experience includes infrastructure, cement and constructions, metals and mining, electricity, oil and gas, petrochemicals, ports and airports.

Roger was awarded the O.B.E. (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to British exports. He studied at the Manchester Business School. As a leading international corporate lawyer, he specialises in the areas of taxes, corporate, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, anti-trust.

Prior to co-founding CFS Partner, Malcolm was a partner of Baker & McKenzie (Chicago). He is a former member of their Strategic Planning Committee and is a former member of the Executive Committee.

Previously, he was a member of the Latin American Regional Council and Coordinator of the Latin American Regional Practice Groups, and it is through him that CFS partners obtained its unique relationships with Baker & McKenzie.

Malcolm holds a B.A. from Yale University and L.L.B. from Harvard Law School. Former Founder Partner of Baker & McKenzie and CFS Partners Malcolm Caplan OCTAVIO Civil Engineer, UCAB (1976).
